Dublin, Killarney, Galway, & Ennis Study Tour

28 June 2011

Departure on Continental Airlines from connection in Newark to Dublin

Day 1, June 29, 2011- Welcome to Dublin

Group arrival at Dublin Airport at 7am. The day proceeds with day tour in Dublin City before checking into Wynn’s Hotel.

Day 2, June 30, 2011

Business appointments scheduled in morning. Participants will explore the city to gain deeper understanding and the chance to experience the daily life of Dublin including a tour of Trinity University and the Book of Kells.

Day 3, July 01, 2011- Depart to Galway

Visit the Guinness Storehouse and marketing exposition at St. James Gate before departing to Galway. Participants will visit the Clonmacnoise and a chance to explore the city in the evening before retiring to Imperial Hotel Galway.

Day 4, July 02, 2011

Group discussion of economic factors in Ireland today. Participants will visit Connemara, Maam Cross and Recess, and Kylemore Abbey. The journey finally ends in Ballynahinch Castle in Connemara Mountains.

Day 5, July 03, 2011- Killarney

Depart to Killarney via Atlantic west coast of Clare. On the journey, participants will visit The Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Listowel and Trelee before spending the night in Killarney Towers Hotel in Killarney.

Day 6, July 04, 2011

Business appointments prior to the tour to the Ring of Kerry, Staigue fort and the mountain sheep farm where participants will witness the sheepdog demonstration, then an overnight in Killarney Towers Hotel.

Day 7, July 05, 2011- Depart to Ennis

Depart to Ennis and visit the village of Adare, Bunratty Castle and Fork Park before retreating to Old Ground Hotel.

Day 8- Farewell to Ennis

Participants will enjoy their breakfast in Ennis before departing back home.
